About	Gloria Jean McCane, 69, of Rushville, died Monday, Oct. 11, 2004 at Hancock Memorial Hospital in greenfield. Born May 9, 1935, in Rushville, she was the daughter of William Sherman and Lorene Faye (Milligan) Buchanan. She married Glenford McCane July 23, 1954; he survives. Mrs. McCane lived her entire life in Rushville. She was a 1953 graduate of Rushville High School. She was a retired private home health care porvider. She was a member of Hannegan Christian Church, the Hint Hunters Home Ec Club, and a charter member of the Jackson Township Alumni Association. She had also been a Den Mother for Cub Scouts, and was very active in Rush County Civil Defense in the 1950s and 1960s. Survivors in addition to her husband include her mother, Lorene Fay Buchanan of Rushville; three sons, Marc, David and John McCane, all of Rushville; three daughters, Glenna (Mrs. Roy) Stevens of Indianapolis, Laurel Holland of Gwynneville and Paula McDougle of Indianapolis; one sister, Carol (Mrs Fred) Powers of Morristown; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, one brother and one sister. Funeral services were held at 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14 2004 at Moster & Cox Mortuary in Rushville, with Warren Engel officiating. Cremation followed at the Eastern Indiana Crematory in Lewisville. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.
