About	John married Elaine Hall. She passed away June 23, 1981. John then married Lelsie Davidsen from Iowa City, Iowa on July 16, 1983. John and Leslie have four children, Grace 8, Lisa 7, Rich 5, and Alice 4. John was active in Democrat Politics, and was the Rush County Democratic Chairman for several years in the late 1980's. Since John's death the "John Arnold Rural Perservation Award" was established to recognize Hoosier Farmers who preserve and continue to use their historic farms. In high school John participated in: FFA, History Club, Holcad, Inkspots, Rushlite and the Science Club. Burial: East Hill Cemetery Rushville Rush County Indiana, USA
