About	Sean Edward (Jean) Beard, 74, died Friday, June 8, 2007 at a hospice in Palm Springs, Calif. Born June 3, 1933 in Rushville, he was the son of Lee E. and Hilda C. (Farthing) Beard, both deceased. Mr. Beard was a 1951 graduate of Rushville High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He retired as manager for the military PX in the Marshall Islands where he lived for many years. Survivors include two brothers, Joseph L. Beard of Rushville and John R. Beard (and wife Eleanor) of San Jose, Calif.; and several nieces & nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, James and William. There will be no public service. Following cremation, disposition will take place at the convenience of the family.
