He has been involved with Jet Engine and Aircraft maintenance management, Inventory Control, Purchasing, Engine restoration, budgetary preparation, Warranty claims development and jet engine processing activities. As a Space Shuttle Program Controls and Configuration Analyst, he effectively coordinated baseline maintenance and modification of the Space Shuttle. Mr. Aumack is an Adjunct professor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He has taught graduate courses in Aircraft/Spacecraft Development Project Management, Aircraft/Spacecraft Maintenance Management and Logistics since 1985. Mr. Aumack has served as an Industrial Engineering Analyst at Program Directorate for the United Space Alliance, Kennedy Space Center, FL. He developed a matrix and Comparative Risk Analysis of NASA’s Contract Requirements for the Operation Maintenance Documentation System. Currently he is facilitating 2 BHAG teams: the S0000-2 Rewrite Team, and the Structural Repair Team which is developing a Standard Repair Manual with a format that can be used for all maintenance manuals for orbiter and GSE interface. He has effectively accounted for and verified all configuration changes for 15 missions; he has identified unauthorized Vendor Configuration changes and coordinated (SMR) coding with LRU Problem Reports. As a Senior Budget Analyst, he developed the initial Operational SPC budget for OPF & amp; PAD processing functions at Kennedy Space Center. He coordinated the cost analysis for two subcontractors in a work breakdown structure and developed Rough-Cut Capacity Plans for Return to Flight Mods. While at Eastern Airlines, Mr. Aumack served as a Senior Budget Analyst, where he developed a multiple power plant $480 million budget and created a bill of material based usage forecast of piece parts. He developed a budget by engine module and groups for the CF6-50C, RB-211-22/535 and JT8D engines and provided usage reports for OEM logistic conferences. He developed warranty claims with both Rolls-Royce and General Electric engines for excessive part usage that resulted in a $3.5 million procurement credit. Mr. Aumack earned his Masters of Business Administration from New York Institute of Technology and his Bachelors of Arts in Economics, History & Government from Florida State University. He is a FAA certified Aircraft & Powerplant Mechanic ( A & P) - Certificate # 2158445, and he holds the FAA Inspector Authorization (IA) - Certificate # 2158445.
