MARILYN MANNING AQUINO, passed away peacefully and entered eternal life on December 12,2023 surrounded by family and friends, in Shrewsbury, NJ. Born in Long Branch and raised in Rumson, Marilyn graduated from Holy Cross School, Rumson Fair Haven Regional High School, and the Kathryn Gibbs School of Business.
Marilyn is survived by her son, Matthew Aquino and his wife, Sara; brothers, Vincent P. Manning, and his wife Collette, and Andrew B. Manning, Jr.; sister, Carol Manning Thacke and her husband Eric, and nieces and nephews: Noelle Manning Cirillo, Michael Manning, Esq., Grace Manning, Vincent P. Manning III, Anthony Manning, and Christopher and Nicholas Thacke.
She was predeceased in life by her father, the late Sea Bright Mayor Andrew B. Manning and her mother, Marjorie Marks Schulz, R.N., of Rumson.
Marilyn had a fierce sense of loyalty to her family and friends. She was always faithfully there when they needed her, without fail. Her family was her greatest joy in life. We will forever miss her, but particularly her relentless spunk and fire which was one of her greatest strengths. Passionate about horses her entire life, Marilyn was an accomplished equestrian. She divided her time between her family, her horses, and her work as a distinguished legal secretary. She loved to travel, especially to Hawaii where she lived for a time in the late 1970’s.
