Catherine Abella

Coast Guard, 8 Years
Catherine is currently a Lieutenant in the US Coast Guard. She attended the US Coast Guard Academy after AHS and graduated with a BS in Government in 2004. She was stationed in Alameda, CA from 2004 to 2006 on USCGC Boutwell (WHEC-719) where she was the Fire Control Officer, Training Officer and qualified Deck Watch Officer. In July 2006, she was sent to Arlington, VA to Coast Guard Recruiting Command and currently works as the Regional Recruiting Manager for the Pacific Central region. Catherine is married and currently living in the DC area.

Army Medic for B co 2-327 Infantry Regiment 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and also for 65th MP CO (ABN) at Fort Bragg. Deployed twice in Support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. My wife, Meghan, and I are both in the same unit and are also both medics. We are currently in Iraq and will be back in the states around March 09. I've got 2 more years in the Army and I hope I don't deploy again. I miss spending the holidays with my family.
