Six years of active duty (72-78) with service in Germany mostly. Twenty-four more, on and off active duty, with service in the Gulf, Somalia, Bosnia, and Afghanistan. Retired in 2002 as a COL. Worked as a DA civilian as Chief Historian of the Army until 2015.

Saw the world the cheap way, via Uncle Sam. Viet Nam, Thailand, Korea, Panama and several states in US. Retired as a Chief Warrant Officer, a Crypto Analyist. If I tell you what I did, I would have to kill you. Old line, but basically true.
