Hi everyone. I loved remembering lately the things I most enjoyed bout high school. The simulated cars, cutting school and being able to drive with my lunch money to LA and see many places, especially Santa Monica’s Pacific Ocean Park, remember that ride that went over the end of the pier oh was that fun! I did not like taking showers in PE or having to read out loud, I am so dyslexic. It’s great to finally be at an age where you can embrace all your flaws, because I have many, but it is what makes me who I am. And I am my own best friend now.

I love to paint and garden. Old gardeners die hard it is true! Right now I am modifying my front and back yard to be able to handle the task. I love to make the earth smile. But I am mobility impaired. My father would be proud. I am a gardeners daughter. I love living near the ocean and I have a mighty respect for it, I wish visitors did, too.

I love seeing the sun dip into the ocean at sundown. It’s a lovely array of color and always different.

I may come to the reunion at the last minute. I realize this may be the last one. I am worried I may not know anybody. I hope to see Janine Larson but I have never seen her on any alumni site. I miss her and many others. I am from both classes. 1970 and 1971 because I got mono and had to graduate a semester later because I missed the whole year we all got bussed over to Simi High school. I was in the choir at Simi High when I got mono. I really like that choir.
I sing in the choir at my synagogue during the year and Sept and Oct are our High Holy Days but are ending Oct 2 at sundown so if I am not too tired I may show up eight days later Oct 10. Ventura is not far from Simi Valley. Good old Simi Valley. We all grew up there in that charming old town. So many awesome memories.

We all are in shock to see so many classmates passed and we are still here. Seeing my childhood best friend obituary has hit me hard. Life is precious, even with all the challenges and the ups and downs. Well if I do not make it I hope you all enjoy yourselves and give hope and courage to one another because as a dear friend once told me, getting older is not for sissys.

Take good care, be brave and do not forget to smile .

Hi Friends, I was reluctant to attend the reunion because I didn't think I would know anyone. I'm sorry to see such a small rsvp list so far. I was sad to recognize so many names in the obituary pages. I'm looking forward to meeting old friends or making new!

Shelly

Hi Shell
We have received 150 RSVP's, and we are over 1/2 way there in ticket sales. Hopefully, the rest will come through and celebrate one last time with old teenage friends!
Just bought mine!
I look at the list down below of people who have responded and don't see 150 people. Is there a more complete list somewhere?
Where is the list of people attending?
Cindy and I have the list of who will be attending. Those that have bought tickets need to add their names to the public sites. Due to privacy Cindy and I will not post the list. I know many of you have reached out to others to inform and encourage ~ Thank you!! We are at 120, with others saying they are coming ~ See you soon!
It would be helpful because I still don't think I'm going to know anyone, and it's going to be a very expensive taco dinner. Such goes the price of marketing and venues these days!
I realize that it would be nice. Some cost of having a reunion is dinner, music, insurance, venue, decorations ~ to name a few.
Sorry to be a Debbie Downer. Call me old-fashioned, but all of our events were held in the gym or multipurpose room. When one of our sons graduated many years later, the kids took the train to Anaheim for their prom. Really???!!! And another, I believe, was at Universal. Yes, I've been through this at an earlier reunion, and I understand the costs. Thanks.

Hi Highlanders! Dan Raymer here - I tried to get a 72 reunion going at the time of our 50th but there were only a few folks interested. Now I've moved to Hilton Head, so I'll miss this one. Best regards to all, and I hope you've all lived wonderful lives and will continue for many years to come!

So sorry you are unable to come. You will be missed!
