Lorenzo Cano
Class of 1970
Lorenzo, now Assistant Director of the Center for Mexican-American Studies at the University of Houston, made the national news twice in the last two years: in 2013,for explaining Pancho Claus, the Hispanic version of Santa in cities from the border to the plains, to much of the rest of America, and in 2015, for a New York Time article citing Hispanics, whether from immigration or native born, are rapidly becoming the new majority of America's population.
