| About Me | Raised two great children, who have given me two super grandchildren. Worked for the Fed Gov for 15 years and then - My husband, John Baldridge & I started our own Architectural/Engineering firm in Sioux Falls, SD in 1982. Expanded it to three offices: with one in Norfolk, VA and another in Amherst, VA. The offices in Sioux Falls & Amherst are still in existance; with us still working (in 2010) for both. John is a licensed Architect & Sturctural Engineer; and I have as always been involved in the Administative & bookeeping areas. In 1995, we purchased a 50 acre small farm in the Blue Ridge Mountains (actually foothills) of VA. And not wanting to sit on the porch of our log cabin home started & planted from scratch a 5 acre vineyard. This vineyard has 1759 Chardonnay vines & 1100 Cabernet Sauvingon vines; which by the way keep us very, very physically active. You see we do all the actual labor ourselves with the exception of 2 harvest days a year. Good help is hard to find.
