Jimmy passed on Jan. 21, 2024. Him and his wife Darcy (Nolls) drove from their home in Washington State to visit his daughters new farm in Kingsport, TN. When he arrived, he had pneumonia and didn't sound like my brother. I knew it was coming. He called me, Kim, his sister and told me he knew that state wasn't going to let him out of there alive. Him and Darcy had plans of Arizona and panning for gold, something she did all the time for years with her father. It was so very hard, for Jimmy was my best friend, my brother and my protector.
One thing, my brother was the best basketball player playing on 25the varsity team in his sophomore year. Number 24 home and 25 away games. Leading rebounder 23 of 24 shots. I have several newspaper clippings with Ross's wins. Yes, I will forever remember the games. James Lynn Stokley dob Mar. 10, 1955 thru Jan. 21, 2024. He's not gone, he just went fishin' without me.
