| About Me | October,2021. I love to write. Thank you to all five of my Roosevelt English teachers. Mr. Shaughnessy issued s list of 100 books we should read by graduation. I sure would like to see that list again. Tragically, in the second month of my freshman year, Mr. Shaughnessy demised in a car accident going home for lunch. He was wonderful, very similar to Fred Rogers, ‘ you know, it´s a wonderful day in the neighborhood … ‘. I simply need to read more, reading and learning new words (dictionary/google)is transforming and helps my own writing. About me: I am well. Spent the last 25 years developing this small farm concept. The work has been my second job. The house and garden shed on the farm are completed. I literally did everything. (Well, not the septic, concrete, and roofing). Writing is my third job that fills the gaps, you might say. Flower production, artistically arranged bouquets are sold at market and to bed and breakfasts. Vegetables are grown, with surplus picked and transported to feed the hungry (Harvesters). Under contract with USDA, developing plot of wildflowers/native grasses in the Monarch butterfly program. Twelve chickens, so we sell the eggs, and supply our two children, who live locally. Previously, worked construction, electronics, elevators, and then plan review. Ten years in the Scouting program, Cub And Scout Master, Philmont, Canadian Boundry Waters, camping every month, zero survival is the best! Enough about me, what about you? Often, as the sunset throws purple and pinks across the Western floating clouds, I think about moments with you in our school days.
