About	Warren was killed the summer of '56. after graduating the 8th grade at Portsmouth Elementary! He was involved in a logging truck, bicycle accident on German Town Road across the Willamette River from St. Johns. He was looking forward to his freshman year at Roosevelt!

Warren was my best friend from the 5th grade on! This was his 8th grade picture from Portsmouth elementary! He was killed one week after our 8th grade graduation! The last time I saw him alive was when he was leaving our graduation ceremony at Portsmouth. He, his two brothers Milton and Norman and his mother walked past me and my mother, as she was taking pictures of me, outside of the main building. We looked at each other but didn't speak. Warren was still mad at me because one of my other friends and his brother had got into a tiff a few days before. A sad way to leave a friendship for sure! I know each of us wanted very much to say something, but we let our pride stand in the way!
