| About Me | Enjoyed life, work, and the cultural diversity of New York City, the biggest small town on the planet, where I continue to admire the ever present community spirit fully on display when confronted with 9/11 and Hurricane Sandy. Followed my interests into diverse types of work that have influenced my perspective on people, community, and life. Twelve years of work as a dance therapist led to twenty+ years of work developing community based programs and group homes for developmentally disabled children and adults. Moved from work with some of the city's poorest families to helping a friend operate her luxury stationery company with a boutique at Barney’s New York and archives ranging from the Duke & Duchess of Windsor and Ike & Mamie Eisenhower to contemporary names in the news. Currently enjoy freelance work for event planning companies and part-time work as Executive Director for the New York Metro Chapter of International Special Events Society.
