USAF pilot. Flew C-130 tactical airlift in Vietnam in 1971. JC-130 aerial recovery pilot based at Hickam AFB HI 1971-1975 recovering deorbited satellite reconnaissance film in mid-air. Served in various program management positions in reconnaissance, intelligence, fighter aircraft and unmanned air vehicle programs. Air operations and plans officer US Forces Caribbean 1982-84. Retired in 1995 as Director of Logistics for the F-16 fleet in use by 20 air forces around the world.

I joined the Naval Reserve while I was a junior in Roosevelt HS. I served on active duty for two years on a WWII Destroyer as a Postal Clerk Third Class. I went back on active duty two years later and stayed until I retired in August 1990. I retired as a Master Chief Personnelman (E9). I was stationed all over the US and we moved every two to three years. I served three years in the Pentagon (Chief of Naval Operations,OP09R), Three years at Mare Island Naval Shipyard, Vallejo, CA. Three years as Command Master Chief, REDCOM 13, Great Lakes, IL., and retired from the Bureau of Naval Personnel, Washington. D.C. I retired from Principal as a Department Manager in April 2004.
