After High School, Frank served in the Navy during WWII. He graduated from Drake University and the joined the family business, Des Moines Stamp Manufacturing Co. He said his secret to a long life was avoiding vegetables and having a cocktail every day at 5PM. He was active until the end and had just renewed his driver's license last week.
