Jan has started a non-profit organization called Sheri's House of Hope. She has a thrift store where all proceeds go to victims of domestic violence. This year opening a long term housing for women and children leaving abusive homes. In 2009 she wrote a book called "Not in Vain" (A mothers diary and memoir about her daughters death and fight for justice) She is hoping to get the time to add the section to this book about surviving and how to take a tragedy into a triumph.
