About Me	After graduation, I worked for H&W industry for about 9 months, then one morning I decided to join the Army. After basic at Ft. Knox, Kentucky, I went to a couple of training schools. Then on January 27,1969 I left for Vietnam and since there was no vacancies for my MOS, I volunteered for infantry went for 2 weeks of in country training, and was assigned to the 23rd infantry Americal Division. On March 7, 1969 I was seriously wounded by shrapnel when the point man tripped a booby trap aka IED, 3 were killed and 5 wounded including me. I spent about a month in the hospital at Chu Lai. I returned home on about Feb. 3rd, 1970. I finished my 3 rd year of enlistment at Ft. Eustis, Va. I returned home in April 1972. I got a job at Container Corp. in Ravenna and bought a new house in Ravenna. I also became a volunteer firefighter for the Ravenna F.D. In 1972. I became a full time firefighter/paramedic in 1975. In 1984 I was diagnosed with PTSD, and resigned due to flashbacks from the war. I then got a job at East Mfg. in Randolph in paint quality control. I retired from there after 30 yrs.
