About Me	Got a master's degree in education while teaching in Winston-Salem public schools and the Governor's School 1970-79 because I thought I would be a school text writer, but got disillusioned and decided to go to law school, at 29. UNC was wonderful; left NC in 1982 and have flourished in Atlanta. A slip and fall accident in Washington, DC in 2007 resulted in a brain injury that crippled my private practice. I have retired from active law practice and enjoy working as a consultant to lawyers on employee benefit plan issues at Fisher & Phillips, a large national firm headquartered in Atlanta. My new career gives me time to spend with my beautiful and witty wife Brenda and our coterie of pets, consisting always of a mix of lap dogs and at least one very bright feline. Currently: Hugo Puccini and Stella Bella (two toy Poms) and Cliocatra (Norwegian Forest rescue cat). Our all-time favorite toy Pom,Gianni Angel, who traveled to Europe with us twice, and also made it to Puerto Rico, California and about half of the American states, passed on peacefully at 18 a few months ago.
