DAVENPORT — Memorial ser-vices for Kenneth G. Stratman, 43, of Shreveport, La., formerly of Davenport, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Davenport.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday at the church. Private burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Davenport.
Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport, is in charge of arrangements.
Ken died Sunday July 25, 1999, in Shreveport, after an extended illness and battle with diabetes.
Ken had been a school psycholo-gist for the Mansfield, La., School District. He also was employed as a consultant for C-BARC, which is assisted living for people with special needs.
Kenneth Gerard Stratman was born Jan. 3, 1956, to Urban and Philonise (Whitfall) Stratman.
He graduated from Rockridge High School, Edgington, Ill.; attended St. Ambrose College, Davenport, and received a bachelor's degree; and received his master's degree in psychology from Eastern Illinois, Charleston.
He was a sports enthusiast and an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
Memorials can be made to the church or American Diabetes Association.
Survivors include his parents, Urban "Fred" and Philonise Stratman, Piedmont, S.D.; a brother, Thomas, Claremont, Calif.; a sister, Joan Fennelly, Davenport; brothers, Daniel, Oceanside, Calif., Robert, Davenport, and his twin, James, Los Angeles; sisters, Mary Stratman, Piedmont, and Anne Dunbar, Prophetstown, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.
