Erickson, 67, of Rockford died at midnight Saturday, May 9, 2009, in FHN Memorial Hospital, Freeport. Born Feb. 12, 1942, in Rockford, the son of LaVerne and Viola (Herzog) Erickson. He married Sue Dixon on July 9, 1972, in Marked Tree, Ark. Lynn served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam, employed as a tool and cutter grinder at Anderson Brothers for 37 years. Member of St. Edward Catholic Church. Also member National Rifle Association and Amvets. He enjoyed donating to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. He is survived by wife, Sue; daughter, Ginger Davis; and grandchildren, Marky Davis and Lucas Buczynski. Predeceased by his parents and brother Charles. Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, in St. Edward Catholic Church, 3004 11th St. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, in Olson Funeral & Cremation Services Ltd., Fred C.
