About Me	Dabbled in college, starting with a botched attempt at Texas A&M, then completed one semester at McLennan Comm. College. Joined the Navy in 1970, got selected for a program the Navy offered which led to a degree in Electrical Engineering and a commission as a Naval Officer. Went to Navy flight school, designated Naval Aviator in 1977. Spent 3 years flying out of Spain, then 1.5 years in Kingsville, TX as a Navy jet flight instructor . Left the Navy in 1982, got hired as a pilot by fledgling America West Airlines in 1984. Spent over 14 years with AWA, 13 of those years as a Captain on the Boeing 737 and 757 and Airbus A320. Left AWA in 1998, got into Information Technology, worked for a major semiconductor industry player for 8 years. Was recruited to work for the oldest shipping (ocean and land transportation) company in the U.S., American President Lines, which moved their Headquarters from Oakland, CA to Phoenix. Started a "bucket list", did my first gig on it: bungee jumped off a 200' bridge in Washington state. My girlfriend and I completed the second item on the list last year: hiked the Grand Canyon rim-to-rim, starting on the North rim. What a trip! Along the way raised 3 wonderful children.
