Events Johnny Sanchez Day, 62 of Dallas, Texas passed away at his residence, surrounded by his family on Thursday, January 18, 2024

Johnny was born on July 6, 1961 in Waco, Texas to Albert and Santos Day. His father was a Cattle Manager at Callan Ranch and Johnny‘s love grew for horses and rodeos while he would work with his dad at a young age. Johnny spent his early years in Waco and graduated from Robinson High School.

He enjoyed life and was respected as a hardworking man and devoted to his family. His interests included spending time with Anne, Chris, his mom and the rest of his family. He loved good food and the Dallas Cowboys so weekend cookouts were always a must.

Johnny was always affectionate towards those he loved and was equally loved by those who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was such an amazing person, husband, son, dad, brother, friend and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Day.

Mr. Day is survived by his loving wife, Anne Marie Day; mother, Santos Sanchez Day; sons, Chris and Johnathan; grandchildren, Seiler Tawater and Sullivan Tawater; sisters, Patricia Caravantes and Linda Day Anderson; brothers, Robert Day and Cecil Day; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many great friends.

Funeral Services for Mr. Day will be on Thursday, January 25, 2024, beginning with a visitation for family and friends at 9:00 am in the Chapel of OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. Waco Texas 76710, funeral services will begin at 11:00 am at OakCrest Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park Cemetery. Officiating Pastor is Jacob Resendez.
