After graduating from the AF Academy in 1987, trained as a Security Forces officer. Stationed all over the US and overseas in Italy, Germany, Turkey, England, and Honduras. Served two combat tours in Afghanistan - the second as the Commander of Provincial Reconstruction Team Gardez. Deployed to Iraq as the Chief of Staff for the Iraqi Training and Advisory Mission to the HQ of the Ministry of Interior (National Police). Final deployment was as the Chief Staff Officer for a Joint Task Force in Djibouti, Africa. Officially retired 1 Nov 2013.
