It broke my heart when Marie passed away on July 5, 2019. Marie was kind, funny, and smart. I met Marie in elementary school, and developed a lifelong relationship and friendship with her entire family. She was kind and loving like her parents. Marie, her sister Betty, and I maintained a strong friendship beyond high school, and up until Marie's death. The three of us (Marie, Betty and Reola) met up in 2012 to attend the R. E. Lee Class Reunion together! Betty and I still share warm memories about Marie. She is truly missed. With warm memories, Reola D.
