Shapiro, Michael Lee (59) of Fulton, MS, died September 9, 2019. Preceded by father, Marvin; survived by mother, Natalie Shapiro (Brooklyn Ctr); brother, David Shapiro (St. Paul); sister, Debra (Michael) Schumacher (Leesburg, FL); niece Carly Schumacher (Mpls); nephew, Aaron Schumacher (Port St. Lucie, FL); friend, Cyndi Wood (Mooreville, MS); and many life-long friends. Born April 7, 1960, he grew up in Golden Valley, graduated Robbinsdale H.S. & Dunwoody VoTech, and worked at Palmer Automotive (downtown Mpls) many years. Traveling down river by houseboat, he landed in Fulton, MS, becoming a marine mechanic. Always curious, he'd chat with anyone on any topic. His ashes were scattered where his beloved dogs are buried. Celebrating his life on Sunday, Oct. 20, 1-4 pm, (Kaddish at 2:30 pm), at Rosewood West Apartments' Community Room, 460 5th Ave. N., Hopkins, MN 55343. Memorials to public libraries.
