Kim Luanne Reimer, age 70, of Maple Grove, passed away on May 13, 2026, after a courageous journey with Alzheimer's disease. Though the disease slowly dimmed her light, those who knew Kim will tell you that her warmth, wit, and generous spirit shone brightly for a lifetime.

Kim was born on September 26, 1955, in Austin, Minnesota, to Clayton and Viola Martin. She grew up surrounded by family and graduated from Cooper High School, where her spunky personality and natural charisma made her someone, people gravitated toward.

On October 4, 1975, she married Dave Reimer, and in 1984, she became a mom when she and Dave adopted their daughter, Jenna. Becoming a mother was one of the greatest joys of Kim's life, a role she cherished deeply and one that brought out the very best in her already generous heart

Professionally, Kim dedicated over 30 years to Kare11, working in their traffic department. She was the kind of colleague who made the workplace better simply by being in it, bringing her wit, creativity, and warmth to everything she did.

Outside of work, Kim lived a full and joyful life. She was an avid reader of romance novels, loved shopping, going to movies, and dining out with friends and family. She was also a fierce and loyal card player, proudly participating in her Ladies 500 card club for over 30 years. If you sat across the table from Kim, you knew you were in for a good time, and probably a little friendly competition too. More than anything, Kim was a dear friend. Those who knew Kim would tell you she was loyal, kindhearted, witty, generous, and endlessly fun to be around. She was the kind of friend everyone hoped to have, someone who was genuinely compassionate and always supportive

Kim was preceded in death by her parents, Clayton and Viola Martin, and her brother, Mike Martin (Carol). She is survived by her daughter, Jenna Peterson (Justin); her sisters, Denni Lund (Ivan) and Robby Hanson (Greg), Grandchildren, Austin, Cooper, Colton and Carson and a wide circle of friends who loved her dearly. Kim now rests peacefully in the arms of her Lord, free from the burdens of this world.

A visitation will be held on June 1, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Lord of Life Church in Maple Grove (7401 County Road 101, Maple Grove, MN 55311), followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will follow. Come ready to share a story, a laugh, and a memory of a truly wonderful woman.
