| About Me | After HS I went to Nursing school at MIllard Fillmore Hospital because I wanted to be a Nurse like my Grandmother. After graduation I then went to UB got involved in the Civil Rights Movement and issues about Vietnam. I had two brothers who went o Vietnam and only one survived. This led to law school at Rutgers in Newark, NJ (right after the riots). It was a very activist school so I became involved in more issues. I went to work for the Mayor of Pritchard, Alabama (1st Black Mayor) and then on to Greenwood and Oxford, Mississippi to work at North Mississippi Rural Legal Services. As I continued to head back north I landed at the National Labor Relations Board as a Field Trial attorney in Memphis, TN where we covered the entire state of Arkansas, Mississippi to Jackson and Tennessee to Chattanooga. (There are very few big cities in these three states). Finally I was transferred to the NLRB HQ in Washington, DC where I have been since 1980. I now have 36+ years with the NLRB.
