Charlie was born on June 17, 1946. I met Charlie playing intramural basketball in 1963. He played football and wrestled in my senior year, 1962 to 1963. He was a natural athlete and great competitor. He joined the US Marine Corps after graduating. He went to Viet Nam and was a Private First Class (PFC) on September 13, 1966 when his unit engaged in a fire fight and he was killed in action. We lost one of our best that day. I found pictures in my 1963 Golden Hours I am including.
