| About Me | HELLO TO ANYONE THAT MAY BE INTERESTED IN PRESERVING SOME OF RITTMANS HISTORY. MY NAME IS BILL MCCALL AND I AM A NEW MEMBER OF THE RITTMAN HISTORICAL SOCIETY. MY INTEREST IN THE CEMETERY STARTED AFTER MY FATHER PASSED A FEW YEARS AGO. I FOUND MYSELF SPENDING TIME LOOKING AT THE LANDSCAPE WERE MY FATHER DECIDED TO BE PUT TO REST. IT BOTHERED ME THAT THE CITY WORKERS WHOM WERE CUTTING THE LAWN WERE MAKING DIRT CIRCLES AROUND MOST OF THE STONED,AND WEED EATING WAS A ONCE A MONTH EVENT. WE HAVE WAR VETS WITH HEAD STONES THAT HAD BEEN BROKEN OR HAD FALLEN, OVER THE YEARS AND NOT REPAIRED. MY MISSION IS TO REPAIR OR REPLACE BROKEN STONES AND TO MAKE NEW FOUNDATIONS FOR THOSE STONES THAT ARE LEANING OR HAVE FALLEN OVER. THE ESTIMATE TO REPAIR & REPLACE FOUNDATIONS IS APROX $7500.00.
