Class of 1950
Clark Howard is a distinguished American author of novels,
true crime books, short stories, and magazine articles and
columns.
He has won five Edgar Allan Poe Awards for short story
writing, as well as a Lifetime Achievement Award from the
Short Fiction Society of the America.
During his career, which began shortly after graduating with
the 1950 Class oof Ripley High School, he has written eighteen
novel,s, five true crime books, and 303 short stories.
He is a member Emiritus of the Mystery Writers of America,
the Writers Guild of America, and the Authors League.
A world traveler who has gone around the world three times,
he presently makes his home in Palm Springs, California.
