About	To those closest to him, he was known as Dj. He was a very loving funny kid who wanted nothing more than to be friends with everyone he meet. He was born in Albuquerque on May 26, 1986 and lived most of his life in New Mexico but also lived in upstate NY for 7 years. During his favorite years in high school Dj was involved in the ROTC program in which he took great pride in. Unfortunately he eventually caved in to peer pressure and experimented with drugs and alcohol. He suffered several set backs as he entered into adulthood but in 2007 Dj began working very hard at turning his life around and was successfully creating a career for himself. Unfortunately on July 20th 2011 after 4 years of sobriety Dj relapsed which sent his body into shock and ultimately took his life. Although his death was a shock to those closest to him he was the best brother and son anyone could ask for and he is greatly missed. We hope that in sharing this news with his peers that it helps anyone who struggles with peer pressure and addiction. Please think about the consequences of your actions and the effect it could have on your loved ones. If Dj were still alive today he would have wanted to help anyone who suffers with the day to day struggles of addiction like he did.
