About Obituary

Received her wings February 12, 2020 at 8:40 in the morning, and is now in the arms of our beloved Jesus Christ. She was lovingly known as “Brown Sugar” and carried the name well. Being of dark complexion, and sweet to many that passed her way. Laura was born to Reyno and Dora Almaguer on September 29th, 1959, in Santa Maria, Ca. She was 60 years young. Laura had a heart of gold to many, especially to those less fortunate than herself. She would feed and clothe the homeless on a weekly basis.

She made many friends thru her journey of life. She enjoyed sewing, making jewelry for those she loved, Dodgers Baseball, and her music louder than loud. Laura was especially proud of her garden. Decorating her cactus with kids little plastic army soldiers, to antique plows and chicken feeder. Laura was especially proud to be an Associate Member of The Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 982, Guadalupe, CA. Her Fathers WW2 82nd Airborne Military Uniform is displayed in her living room. She will miss you all!

Laura is survived by her husband Mark “bubba” Marmolejo, Mother Dora Almaguer of Guadalupe, Brother Raymond (Vicky) Almaguer of Las Vegas, Nevada, and the loves of her life, Son Jesse Valdez and Grandson Julian Jeremy Valdez of Guadalupe, plus numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins from the Almaguer and Cota families. She is preceded in death by her Father Rayno Almaguer, Brother David Almaguer... and her beloved Son Julian Luis Valdez. We luv you “WELA”... Bubba, Samsom, and Dalyla..... your 3 DAWGZ
