About	Obituary Karen L. Adams, 46, passed away on December 1, 2005 after a lengthy and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Karen was born in Sacramento, California on February 12, 1959 and grew up in Placentia, California, prior to moving to Santa Maria in 1976. Karen graduated from Righetti High School, Alan Hancock College and attended UCLA. Karen was an LVN and worked at Marian and Valley Hospital. Nursing was Karen’s passion. She was a very compassionate caregiver and truly admired by her peers in the nursing field. Beloved daughter, sister, partner, mother, aunt and friend, she is preceded in death by her brother Charles D. Adam who died on December 1, 1997, grandparents Evelyn and Charles Adams, grandmother La Verne Hollenbeck, uncles David Norman, Joseph Adams and Ronald Miller, as well as mother-in-law Eva Mollica and father-in-law Robert Mollica. Karen will be missed and loved always by her partner Anthony Mollica, sons Saul and Avery Mollica, parents Charles and Sandy Adams, sisters Katheryn Pirkey, Karolyn Bickmore, and numerous family members and friends. A private family memorial service is scheduled to celebrate Karen’s life, courage, and the love she gave to so many.
