CORDELE – Bert Spencer Bentley, 67, passed away Thursday, Oct. 7, 2021, at the Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins, Ga. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021 at11a.m. at the New Apostolic Church in Cinnaminson, New Jersey. The family will greet visitors at the church, beginning at 10 a.m. until the hour of the funeral.

Mr. Bentley was born in Queens, N.Y. to the late Englebert Bentley and the late Elsie Hansman. He was a retired welder for the Sun Oil Refinery. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara. New Apostolic Church was where he had served as a Deacon for 35+ years. He was very involved in the youth program at the church. He was also a retired car salesman.

He is survived by his wife: Janet Gaunt Bentley of Cordele; his sons: Ben Bentley and his wife Nicole of Fort Collins, Colo. and Brian Bentley and his wife of Jessica of Brookhaven, Penn.; his siblings: David Bentley and his wife Kathy of Woodlyn, Penn. and Lydia Reel and her husband Paul of Folsom, Penn.; and his grandchild: Evan Bentley; and his step-grandchildren: Timothy Lull, Madison Lull, Deon Wellons, Reggie Rogers, Amara Rogers, Jonathan Higgins, Joshua Houle, Jackson Houle, Cole Kidwell, and Sarah Kidwell.
