| About Me | I’ve been very happily married since 1973, with 3 wonderful grown children and six grandchildren in Ohio and Portland, Oregon. Professionally, I have been a psychologist and behavioral health educator, practicing and teaching in a family medicine residency in Maine. My particular professional interest is spirituality and health care (spirituality in an inclusive, nonsectarian framework), with research, writing, and speaking for many years. My 2020 book, Weekly Soul, Fifty-two Meditations on Meaningful, Peaceful, and Joyful Living, has won several national awards. I have had a continuing faculty role at the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine at University of Arizona Medical School since 2001. My wife and I lived in rural Maine since the late seventies (Maine will always be “home” for us), moved to the college town, Waterville, in 2006 and then moved to Shaker Heights, Ohio, in 2022 to be around the corner from our daughter and family....(read more) |
