Kevin Adams went to Ridgeway high starting 1n 1977,the same year Elvis died!
Kevin was always a loner but observed everything around him,people,events,ect.
Even though Kevin kept to himself,he was an intresting person...he always was surprisingin his ways...such as dressing up as BATMAN or Robin the next...and even his hero EVEL KNIEVEL,riding his bicycle off ever curb there was.
He didn't ask for your attention,he demanded it..silently!
He always loved music! And was in Miss Tate's class every year.
He did his first TALENT CONTEST in 1978,doing Elvis..song : "Johnny B. Goode
He was with band members Steve Wenger, Ben Nothern,& Keith Magnifico.
Together they won "MOST TALENTED" trophy..which Kevin still has it to this day.
After graduating...he worked at Baptist East Hospital in dietary....& other jobs like loading & unloading trucks at ACTIN CARTAGE in Memphis.
But , something always PULLED him to entertaining people....
Even though he always dressed in different personias...he could always sing too.
In fact imitate singers & the DJs. Like George Klein & Rick Dees!
He entered a contest where you could win $2000...at the Ramada Inn on Mt. Moriah.
He did a mini show with his impressions ...
He WON!
His girlfriend said to him, "You could make a great living doing this"!
He didn't really think so..he worked odd jobs & even moved to Orlando Florida.
There was a Flea Market opening there that was hireing Talented people,clowns,puppeteers,singers,ect.
He tried out....He got the job!
He show cased many of his impressions...while sometimes dressing like them !
He even played for the Discovery Shuttle mission crew, the one that went after the Challenger Disaster.
He later moved to Alabama after marrying his girl friend & worked in a Chicken plant for 11 & a half years. While working there he entertained the USDAs & employees there.
They all said, You need to be in Las Vegas or Branson.
So, after hearing this for years & years..he set out to Vegas.
He auditioned for John Stewart, founder of "LEGENDS in CONCERT" at the IMPERIAL PALACE in Las Vegas.
He did perform many a time there & also Laughlin,Nv.
He was founded by Glenn Hall in Athens Alabama....Glenn signed Kevin to a contract.
He has OPENED for many famous Singers..such as:
TG Shepard, Gene Watson, Billy Joe Royal, BJ Thomas & many more!
