The Last Hurrah

The axe is falling! The beloved OCDSB (Ottawa Carleton District School Board), in all their infinite wisdom, has declared Rideau to be redundant. Therefore the school will close at the end of the 20016-'17 school year, period, the end. Talk about hidden agendas, lack of foresight and ignorance of community and social structure and function. Trustees (their title though NOT by my definition) have chosen to disregard public input and proceed with their plans to ship the school population off to Gloucester HS. Another case of the monkeys driving the bus it would seem.
Enjoy the fruits of you two-faced efforts Ms. Scott. We all have to live in your brave new world!
MEANWHILE we are at least going to be able to have a 60th reunion. One last hurrah. MAY 5-6TH, 2017. Let's try to make it one to remember.
