About	Rami Abouatallah passed away unexpectedly on Friday December 8th, 2017 at home. Rami was suffering from the chronic medical condition HHT since early adulthood. Rami's sudden passing is a great loss to his family, friends and colleagues. Rami graduated from Richview in 1993 and went on to be a graduate of University of Toronto Chemical Engineering (BASc 9T7) at the top of his class. He completed his PhD and graduated in 2002 (PhD 0T2). His doctoral thesis focused on the catalytic activity of nickel in the presence of vanadium species during alkaline water electrolysis. Dr. Abouatallah joined Hydrogenics Corporation in 2002 where he held several progressive roles, his latest being the Manager of Stack Technology. In this role he led the development of pioneering Fuel Cell and Electrolyser Technology. Rami leaves behind his wife, Sonja, and son, Matthew.
