James L Browning, Jr.

Class of 1950

Superior Court Judge, San Mateo County, 1991-1998. Municipal Court Judge, San Mateo County, 1986-1990. United States Attorney, Northern District, 1970-1977. Personally prosecuted Patty Hearst (Bank Robbery), January 1976 - March 1976 with verdict of guilty, upheld by US Supreme Court. Deputy District Attorney for San Mateo County 1960-1970. Chairman National Advisory Council American Junior Red Cross members in 1950. Jim retired December 31, 1998 and now lives with his wife Linda in Arizona.
