| About Me | After high school, I went to Michigan State, spent 6 months in Japan, and got a job in advertising. Working full time, I went to Wayne State and got a Master's degree in library science. I lived in the Lansing area and worked in that field until 2001, when I moved to Mio to help care for my godfather, who had terminal cancer. While here, I met my husband Nick, found a job as the director of the Lake City public library, and moved there for 3 years. We had our first son there in 2003. In 2005, Nick got called to go to Iraq for a year through the National Guard. We got married before he left, and I had our second son while he was there.
