About	Harold L. "Buzz" Melges, 70, of Mt. Morris, Illinois, died Sunday February 5, 2012 in Swedish-American Hospital, Rockford, Illinois. He was born June 6, 1941 in Redwood Falls, Minnesota, the son of Harold K. & Marian Luetje Melges. Harold married Norma Tripp in Plano, IL on June 30, 1963. A Vietnam War Navy veteran, he served in USS SEA FOX SS-402 as a second class submarine qualified electronics technician. He was an electrician for many years with Western Electric, and then as a HVAC technician with Dreyer Medical Clinic in Aurora, Illinois. He was an active member and Elder of the Community of Christ Church in Rockford, Illinois. He remained a loyal Minnesota Vikings and Twins fan but was known to root for the Chicago Cubs, and of course he enjoyed fishing. Survivors include his wife, Norma; daughter, Brynn (Mark) Mathieu of Byron, IL; son, Brad (Tracy) Melges of Montgomery, IL; grandchildren, Olivia Melges, Eddie Vonasch, and Arynn & Luke Mathieu; sister, Noreen Bandh (class of 1955) of Spokane, WA; brother, David (Shirley) Melges (class of 1969) of Spokane, WA; and many nieces & nephews. His parents preceded him in death. Memorial services will be held later. Inurnment will be in Lincoln Memorial Park, Oswego, IL.
