About	It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Peter Kiergaard, 52, who died unexpectedly on May 22, 2025, in La Junta, Colo. Pete was born on June 28, 1972, to Tom and Barb Kiergaard in Redwood Falls. He graduated from Redwood Falls-Morton High School in 1990. Pete had a myriad of occupations, but none could keep him in Minnesota to endure another winter. In 1998, he found his home in Canon City, Colo., at the foothills of the mountains. Pete enjoyed working on small engines and was a mechanic for many years. He also had the gift of gab and was a master salesman. Pete will be forever loved and missed by his mom, Barb, siblings, Misty, Kathy, and Matt, their spouses and children. He will hold a special place in the hearts of his closest friends, Bill and Corey. We are grateful Pete is reunited with his dad, Tom.
