About	David James Filzen was born September 16, 1953, in Redwood Falls. David, 70, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2023, at home surrounded by family. He was a 1972 graduate of Lincoln High School in Redwood Falls. He was a National Guard member. David worked with Schwans as a food delivery salesman for many years until his retirement. He was an enthusiastic billiards player. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Rita Filzen; his wife, Brenda K. Filzen, of 46 years; brother, Jeffrey Filzen and sister, Monica Glazier. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his children, Michele Burns (Troy); April Eagles (Jay); Steven Filen (Misty); grandchildren; Kaiden Farmer, Haley Filzen, and Bayleigh Eagles; siblings, Gregory Filzen (Linda), Patricia Kutzorik (Darwin), Daniel Filzen, Robert Filzen (Rindy), Joyce Eckel, and Nancy Grossman; brother-in-law Merlyn Borth (Lorena); and a host of other family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his memory to Gentiva Hospice of Clinton, N.C.
