About Maureen J. Watson, 78, of St. Paul, MN died September 15, 2022. She was born in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada January 26, 1944 to George and Bernice (Jude) Perry. They moved to Grand Forks, British Columbia then Lethbridge, Alberta Canada. The family immigrated to the United States in early 1952 to Minnesota about 4 years after her brother Ronald was born 1948. Her parents, and she and her brother Ronald, became U.S. Citizens in 1958. They first settled near Winnebago, MN where her brother Dennis was born 1952. Then the family moved to several other south central Minnesota towns (Fairmont, New Ulm and then Redwood Falls). Maureen started attending public school in Canada then continued at the other towns in Minnesota. She graduated from Redwood Falls high school in 1962 as salutatorian (on coin flip) tied with the valedictorian of her class. She attended the University of Minnesota graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing and Masters in Nursing in Psychological Mental Health. She worked the majority of her career at Fairview University Medical Center Psychiatry West Bank retiring at 71. She was married 3 times which all ended in divorce. Her interests were dining out with friends, gardening, traveling and her beloved Huskies. She is survived by her brothers Ronald (Patricia) Perry, nephew Dustin (Sara) Perry and great niece Lorelei Perry, Dennis (Mary Krunkle) Perry and nephew Daniel Perry (husband Guy) niece Kathleen (Erik) Walker. She is also survived by many cousins in Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec Canada and Pennsylvania and many good friends. Also survived by her current Huskies Misty and Destiny. She was preceded in death by her father George, mother Bernice and niece Stephanie Perry and all aunts and uncle and grandparents. Her lifetime interest in Huskies also resulted in her being preceded to the afterlife by several of her Huskies.
