About	Gerald “Gerry” William Patten was the son of William Glenn and Helen (McKay) Patten of Redwood Falls. He was born April 3, 1948, in Redwood Falls. He attended school at Delhi Public School until 6th grade. He graduated from Redwood Falls High School in 1966. After high school, Gerry entered the Army, serving in the Vietnam War. He was self-employed as an artist/designer throughout his life, never truly retiring. Gerry was the “decorator of this town”! He spent many years decorating at Redwood Valley High School prom, Tour of Homes, and Ramona’s School of Dance. Gerry also decorated for weddings, parades, and various places throughout Redwood Falls during Christmas time. He also was an active chairman on the Redwood County DFL. Gerry held many offices at the Delhi Presbyterian church, until their closing in 2005, when he joined Redwood Falls First Presbyterian Church. ?Gerry is survived by his siblings, Lois (Robert) Gullickson of Woodbury, Marvin (Diane) Patten of Clara City, and Mary (the late Robert) Tetrick of Lamberton; nieces and nephews, Stephen (Meike) Patten, Dan (Janelle) Gullickson, Robin (Mark) Goblirsch, Deb (John) Campbell, Jeff (Tolly) Patten, Catherine (Dennis) Hoffbeck, Dean (Kerry) Gullickson, Lisa (Mark) Fest, Cindy (Josh) VanDerPol, Sharon (Darrin) Carlson, and Laura Lee (Jim) Schuette; 24 great-nieces and -nephews; and one great-great-niece. ?He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Helen Patten; and brother-in-law, Bob Tetrick.
