About	Duane “Stix” Sawatzky, age 65 of Redwood Falls, died at Carris Health – Redwood Hospital, following a battle with esophageal cancer. According to Stix’s wishes, no services will be held. Duane “Stix” Sawatzky was born June 20, 1955 in Redwood Falls, Minnesota to John and Phyllis (Storch) Sawatzky. He graduated from Redwood Falls High School in 1974. Stix worked as a truck driver and was employed by Larry Schefus Trucking for many years. In 1970, Stix was involved in a serious motorcycle accident. Even after this incident, he continued to enjoy riding 4-wheeler and ATVs with his friends throughout his life. Stix is survived by his siblings: Robert (Marrilynn) Sawatzky of Park Rapids, Jack Sawatzky of Park Rapids, Jim Sawatzky of Walker, and Eugene (LeAnn) Sawatzky of St. Louis Park; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings: Harold Sawatzky and Wilma (Carl) Lindstrom.
