What is Maz Jobrani known for?

Maz Jobrani, an Iranian-American comedian and actor, was born in Tehran, Iran on February 26, 1972. He and his parents moved to California when he was six years old, where he was raised in Tiburon in the San Francisco Bay area. A proud bulb of Redwood High School in Larkspur, California, he flourished from an early age, eventually being inducted into the distinguished alumni class of 2017. Far from just a comedian, Jobrani is also an educated man, studying political science and Italian at UC Berkeley and initially enrolling in a PhD program at UCLA before deciding to follow his dream of acting and performing. Jobrani's career took off in the 1990s, and he's been busily active ever since. He is known for his observational comedy and satire, often tackling subjects such as racism, race relations, Islamophobia, Iranian culture, Islam in the United States, and the Middle East. He was part of the "Axis of Evil" comedy group and has appeared in numerous films, television shows, and comedy clubs. His filmography includes roles in 'The Interpreter', 'Friday After Next', 'Dragonfly', and 'Jimmy Vestvood: Amerikan Hero'. He also appeared as a regular character on the CBS's 2017 sitcom 'Superior Donuts' and had been an advisory board member of the National Iranian American Council (NIAC). Source

On television and radio, Jobrani has made appearances on popular shows like 'The Colbert Report', 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno', 'The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson', 'Whitney', and 'The Comedy Store'. He has also lent his voice to characters in the audio book version of 'World War Z' and co-hosts his own podcast on the All Things Comedy podcasting network. Source
