Brion served in the Marine Corps after graduation. The last time I got to spend much time with him was in 1977, when we were both stationed on Okinawa, at each end of the island.

Brion was unaware that he had melanoma, until it had metastasized.

Unfortunately, the only decent picture I still have of Brion is one where he's goofing around with a pair of Groucho glasses.
