John and I grew up together. First, in Bayonne, NJ we went through elementary school together and then coincidentally we both moved to Hazlet in the same year along with another schoolmate...Mike Weeks. Our parents were friends before we were born. All of us lived in Fleetwood Park. John was class valedictorian.
In 1967 John caught the garter at my wedding. We lost touch as adults until we were invited to attend the RTHS 30th (?) graduation exercises as we were in the first graduating class. John was the keynote speaker, which my husband recorded.
Special memories of a great friend and a great student. R.I.P. John.
